Mario Bava's Black Sunday is, without a doubt, one of the finest black and white horror films ever created. It's right up there with Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, and the original Night of the Living Dead in our book (we're such fans of Black Sunday that the film's iconic hole-faced witch played by Barbara Steele is used in this website's header). If you think that this movie won't have blood 'n guts or things that'll actually scare you by today's horror movie standards, think again! Black Sunday has just as much balls as new horror movies. Great pick EoE, love Black Sunday. Damn, despite how much you like or consider Fulci and Argento the premiere Italian horror-heads, the fact Bava was churning out this type of quality a decade prior really lets you know where those former directors took their ground work from. Bava's Bay of Blood is also a legit masterwork.

Agreed! Every fan of horror, even those who don't necessarily care for "old" horror flicks, should definitely check out the movie above.
