With an apposite Halloween day release, The Haunting of Molly Hartley is a horror/thriller helmed by producer-gone-director Mickey Liddell (Go, Death by Pizza). The film is co-scribed by Rebecca Sonnenshine (American Zombie) and first timer John Travis (who also has a horror flick The New Daughter slated to star Kevin Costner, a frightening thought on its own).
The Haunting of Molly Hartley, as the trailer blurb suggests, focuses on a girl who relocates after her mother's horrifying nervous breakdown. As Molly struggles to fit in and befriend anyone at school, she becomes increasingly scourged with twisted visions and demonic forces. It seems an ultimate truth must be unearthed in order for Molly to mollify all evil surrounding her and return to a life of teen normalcy. The flick stars Shannon Marie Woodward, Chace Crawford, AnnaLynne McCord, Nina Siemaszko, Shanna Collins, Jake Weber and Haley Bennet in the titular role. With a working title of She Lived, the flick is as of now unrated with an indiscernible runtime. Let's hope Liddell aims for a hard R, huh?!? Or screw it, he should just re-title the picture The Wanting of Nina Hartley and go with a full blown (like the pun?) triple X rating. Or not.

Doesn't look too bad. The main girl in The Haunting of Molly Hartley is way hot, Haley Benne? Didn't even know about this film until I saw this trailer.
Judging from the trailer, I bet this will be rated PG-13. But who knows, maybe it'll get rated R. They never show the good and gory stuff in the trailers anyhow.
Looks intriguing. I'll keep my eye out for this one. It looks kind of like a Stepford Wives or Disturbing Behavior...hopefully its more like wives :P The huge conspiracy plot is always interesting to say the least.
