VIDEO: Lost Boys 2 Trailer
Mar. 14The first official trailer for Lost Boys: The Tribe, the follow-up to the cult 80's vampire flick has just been released. The sequel stars some of the same actors as the original film including Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, Jamison Newlander, and although Keefer Sutherland (the only actor from the original that has done anything with his career since the original Lost Boys) won't be appearing in this film, his half brother Angus Sutherland is! This time around Joel Schumacher will also not be sitting in the director chair as this movie is being handled by P.J. Pesce (From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter).
The Final Word: In all seriousness, the movie doesn't look half bad. Sure, it's going straight to DVD and there's more than a high likelihood that Lost Boys: The Tribe will suck elephant dong, but you never know, we might be in store for some cheesy fun when this one hits. Now, if only it included that one greased up saxophone player from the original...

I smell success for the coreys.
First off, the coreys are not what made the movie good. If you are going to make a sequel worth anything, make sure the script is good enough to get one of the better actors from the movie ie. Kiefer Sutherland or Jason Patric. Second, omg this looks god awful!
Wow, that sweaty bow hunk is still giving me nightmares. Only in the '80s man, I swear it. I recently watched the original on cable; next time you get a chance, scope the posters on Haim's wall. Flat out embarrassing! I still can't wait to peep the sequel, the I grew up on the '87 version.

The fact that they are even making this movie is sort of sad... the Coreys are hanging on to one of the only projects they've been involved in that was worth anything. Lost Boys was great as a cheesy 80's horror movie... but today audiences aren't going to buy into another Lost Boys film.
That'd be really cool if the characters in Lost Boys 2 still had those ultra gay hair metal haircuts though. Then I'd be more excited.
It's gonna suck ... and yet I can't wait to see it.
Haha - What about Feldman still looking 16, that dirty Rambo sash around his forehead.
BTW - I think my favorite scene in the original is when Sam has the Frog brothers over for dinner. The way they act all serious, trying to expose Max as head vampire. The way Herrmann and Wiest play the scene makes me laugh every time.
