In America, legendary Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento, known for countless spectacular horror movies such as Susperia, Opera, Phenomena (my all-time favorite horror film), two episodes of Showtimes Masters of Horror series (Jennifer and Pelts), and others, isn't quite a household name, but to much of the world he is more or less regarded as the second coming of Alfred Hitchcock, who has influenced his body of work a great deal. And if you haven't gotten into Argento's movies, now is as good a time as any, especially considering that his latest horror project, The Mother of Tears is finally coming to the States in select theaters (click the link to check out eSplatter.com's full theater listing to find the nearest place to you it's showing at). A new trailer has also just been released for the US release of Mother of Tears and you can watch it below.
The film opens in theaters from June 6 to July 11.

So excited for this movie! Why do we have to wait so long for them to dub it? NOOOOO!!!!!
My favorites have to be Deep Red and Phenomena. You have to love the part where the monkey jumps up and slices the old lady!
Definitely one of my most anticipated of the year! Udo Kier rocks, damn I hope they keep an NC-17 rating.
I actually watched the first 15 minutes Italian version of Mother of Tears. There's a crazy gore scene in those first few minutes. I don't wanna spoil it, but let's just say it involves intestines... and strangulation
At first this trailer didn't seem very appealing to me... that is until I saw the very last clip.
They really did a bad job with this trailer.
I've seen the movie and it's way better than this video leads you to believe. Awesome that MOT is getting some theater showing finally.
