Several behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Marcus Nispel's forthcoming Friday the 13th are now available. While these images don't reveal anything too shocking, they're still a nice teaser to hold us over until more details surface. See them below!
Friday the 13th (coming February 13th 2009) uses the logo first introduced in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (Part V).
A shot of the film crew trying to stay in the shade. Can you spot Jason Voorhees in the back? Me either.
Law enforcement? No cop is a match for Jason's unforgiving razor-sharp machete.
Jared Padalecki (House of Wax - 2005 version, Cry Wolf) plays the motorcycle-riding investigator who's been sent to Camp Crystal Lake to take down the killer.
Another photo of the team hard at work on the new Friday the 13th movie.
Producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form pose for the camera.
An Escalade? I guess the new Friday the 13th doesn't take place in the 80s after all, as it was rumored to be.
You can bet your boots Jason will have some warm, uniform-wearing bodies to sink his machete into.
It's rumored that the new Jason Voorhees (played by Derek Mears of The Hills Have Eyes II) will once again don the burlap sack that the character wore in Friday the 13th Part II before upgrading to his trademark hockey mask in Friday the 13th Part III

Cool pics, even if this piece is helmed by hack-boy Michael Bay (producer). Quite appropriate that they're using the title card from Part V: A New Beginning - because that's easily the worst film in the entire 10-11 film cannon. BTW, my favorite pic is the last with jason rocking the burlap - damn part 2 is a fine sequel if I may say so myself. Remember that a week from tomorrow actually happens to be Friday the 13th. All hail Voorhees!
Man if he doesn't have the hockey mask i bet the movie will tank. Everyone outside the horror genre would expect nothing less.
Sweet. I agree with uncouth though. If they don't bring Jason's hockey mask (i don't see why they can't have both the hockey and sack masks) fans are going to start killing each other in the theater.
If part five is the one about they guy pretending to be jason thani agree its the worst (havent seen any of those movies in years) i just hope they make it rated R and not water it down for pg-13 bullshit
I can't really say I'm excited for this.

Nice memory Killatron, yes part 5 is the one with the poser as the killer - basically akin to Halloween 3 when looking at the entire film series. And I agree with the rest, remember Jason Goes to Hell, Voorhees took to body-snatching - it wasn't until the end when he re-brandished the hockey mask, that the audience went nuts with excitement.
I am a HUGE fan of the Friday the 13th series, and have mixed emotions about this. It could be awesome, or it could soil the series for new comers.
I am mostly concerned with the actor who gets the honor to play Jason. Jason is not to be acted as just some big guy in a hockey mask, Jason has certain characteristics that if it's not done right, could ruin the whole film.

I agree. As much as I hate poorly made remakes of great horror films, I usually end up watching them anyway. But hey, who's to say this one will suck? The Hills Have Eyes remake was better than the original.
I'm more worried about two other horror remakes that are under way: Susperia and Rosemary's Baby
i think it is cool how they are changing the mask back to the pillow
(my first post!)
I hope this movie turns out good.
