After his latest cinematic debacle Mother of Tears, Italian splatter king Dario Argento turns to a cast of American talent for his newest foray into the macabre - a slasher flick entitled Giallo. Cut from the same cloth as Tenebre or Deep Red, Giallo revolves around an American stewardess in Milan, who must cooperate with an Italian detective to rescue her kidnapped sister from a homicidal madman known simply as 'yellow.' Aside from literally translating in Italian as 'yellow' the word 'giallo' has come to represent an entire film genre unto itself, one that incorporates elaborately gruesome fatalities with the punctuation of odd musical arrangements and ambient tones. Anyway, Argento's freshest effort stars Adrien Brody (replacing Vincent Gallo as the Italian detective) Emmanuelle Seigner (as the American), Elsa Pataky, Robert Milano and Byron Deidra in the titular role. Giallo will open some time in 2009.

BTW, Brody's rockin' just a filthy goatee that bohemian coffee shop poets and 17th century painters would find offensive. His character might just have to die for such a beard. Seriously.
Brody looks like a skinnier version of Al Pacino in Carlito's Way... doesn't he?
Personally, I'm extremely excited about Giallo and about the teaming up of Argento and Adrien Brody. That poster art is a little crappy though.
what a terrible poster

what a terrible poster
Looks fake. Don't it?
That poster looks like a Travolta disco film or the male equivalent of Glitter. At least he lost that Pacino in 88 Minutes beard.
God! Why Adrian Brody?!! I hate that guy.
@goreobsessed: It looks fake to me cause he doesn't have the beard like the production stills... and his hair is different. weird.
The poster does look pretty bad.
But Brody isn't so bad...I loved him in the Jacket.
My man Argento has been letting me down as of late. I can only hope that "Gaillo" will be return to form for Argento.
I wonder if Argento will hold tradition and still be the hand in the glove? His hands are no doubt a bit shaky at his age.
